The Venice Sunrise Rotary Club has provided Venice area elementary schools with bags of school supplies like pencils, pens, note pads, crayons, markers, glue, rulers and spiral binders. Our local school teachers were thrilled!
On February 17, 2019 the Venice Sunrise Rotary Club hosted it's inaugural Hometown Heroes Banquet  at the Venetian River Club honoring the Venice  Police and Fire Departments. Venice Sunrise Rotary Club President Dennis Stroer presented plaques for special recognition to Police Officer of the Year Bill Kuchar and Firefighter of the Year Phil Castellano. A contribution  by the club of $1,000 each was made to both the Venice Fraternal Order of Police and the Venice Fire Department's Benevolent Fund in honor of Bill and Phil. Please join us in congratulating these fine officers!

On February 5, 2019 the Venice Suncoast Rotary visited the Southeastern Guide Dog facility in Palmetto, FL.  The Club recently sponsored its 5th dog, Tess.  In the past 5 years the club sponsored Sunny, Rolf, Gussie and Micki. The Club encourages anybody who hasn't had an opportunity to visit the facility to do so and prepare to be  "wowed!"
